POSITION OVERVIEW
Sea Hawk Global Lines Sdn Bhd is seeking a strategic and hands-on
Logistics Operations Manager
. The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert in the "Logistics Triple-Threat":
Haulage, Warehouse, and Forwarding
. Specifically, we require a leader who is highly proficient in the
Sovy Logistics System
to oversee the end-to-end integration of our fleet, cargo, and documentation workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. System & Process Integration (Sovy Expert)
Sovy Management:
Utilize the
Sovy system
to monitor real-time haulage movements, warehouse inventory, and forwarding status.
Data Integrity:
Ensure all coordinators and staff input accurate data into Sovy to maintain reliable reporting for trip counts, fuel usage, and billing.
Workflow Automation:
Leverage Sovy to streamline the hand-over process between Forwarding (documentation) and Haulage (dispatch).
2. Integrated Operations Oversight
Haulage & Fleet:
Manage a fleet of 45+ staff and drivers. Enforce KPI targets (Westport/PKFZ: 5/5, Local: 3/3, OS: 1+1 CN) and ensure 7:30 AM punctuality.
Warehouse & Forwarding:
Synchronize warehouse loading/unloading with truck arrival times. Coordinate with the forwarding team to ensure all Customs (K1, K2, K8, K9) and Port clearances are updated in the system before truck dispatch.
3. Financial Control & Asset Audit
Loss Prevention:
Use system analytics to identify and eliminate "Company Financial Losses" such as excessive idling, fuel siphoning, or unnecessary demurrage.
Asset Audit:
Oversee regular vehicle maintenance schedules and conduct periodic interior/exterior audits of the trucks to maintain Seahawk's brand standards.
4. Leadership & Compliance
Lead daily morning briefings and supervise the discipline of the 45-person operations team.
Ensure 100% compliance with Port Authorities (Westport/Northport), PKFZ, and APAD regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Software Expertise (Mandatory):
Extensive hands-on experience with the SOVY Logistics System
(Haulage/Warehouse/Forwarding modules).
Professional Experience:
Minimum
8-10 years
in the logistics industry.
Proven track record in managing
Container Haulage
(Fleet of 30+ trucks).
Strong operational knowledge of
Warehouse management
and
Freight Forwarding/Customs
workflows.
Skills:
Proficient in Port Systems (JPPL/TOS) and Advanced Excel.
Decisive leadership; ability to manage and command respect from a large pool of drivers.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
