• Subject matter expert in shipping, custom and Trade compliance
• Subject matter expert in Strategic Trade Acts, HS Tariff Codes and ECCNs.

• Tasks/Responsibility
• Track key performance Index (KPI) for shipping and logistic activities to track efficiency and effectiveness of the freight forwarders
• Ensure all inbound and outbound documents are available for shipment and clearance purposes
• Establish, maintain, and manage a healthy relationship with freight forwarders, custom brokers, regulators and customers via regular meetings and communication
• Track and evaluate the performance of freight forwarders via Business Review Meeting in relation to On Time Delivery and Cost Saving opportunity
• Review freight expenses and identify opportunity for cost saving purposes
• Review and submit reports to regulatory authorities on a timely manner
• Develop and maintain good documentation practices for Shipping and Trade Compliance activities for audit purposes
• Provide consultation to stakeholders on best practices in relation to logistic activities and local custom regulation
• Train new employees on shipping, logistic and trade compliance requirement
• Represent Warehouse and Logistic Team for new / improvement project
• Assist in performing Denied Party Screening on import and export related activities on SAP GTS
• Assist in investigating import / export violation pertaining to trade compliance
• Assist in providing product jurisdiction, classification for commercial and defence product

• Working experience/technical skills/know how
• Min. a diploma / bachelor\'s degree / Professional Certificate in any field

Working experience of 3 Years is required in the role if no academic qualification * Min. 5 years of working experience in shipping / logistic department

• Min. 5 years of dealing with regulators (Custom, SIRIM, MITI, MIDA) etc.
• Min. 5 years of working in a MNC manufacturing environment
• Proficient speaker of English and local language

• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation Skill

• Competence
• Good understanding and knowledge of Custom Act 1967
• Have experience in using SAP, Oracle, BAAN, JD Edwards etc.
• Able to use Microsoft Office and Tools for analysis and reporting purpose
• Able to operate Heavy Equipment (Forklift, Power Pallet Jack) etc.
