Job Purpose

To operate and maintain construction machinery safely and efficiently to support road construction, earthworks, and related site activities. The Machine Operator ensures all equipment is used according to company standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery such as

Excavator, Backhoe, Bulldozer, Back Pusher

, and other road construction equipment as required. Inspect machinery daily to ensure proper functionality and promptly report any defects, breakdowns, or safety issues. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure smooth operation. Follow all

safety procedures

, SOPs, and site regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in loading/unloading materials, compaction works, and other supporting duties during road construction. Work closely with the Site Supervisor to complete tasks within project timelines. Maintain accurate logbooks of machine usage, hours, fuel consumption, and service records. Ensure all operations comply with

legal requirements

, environmental guidelines, and company policies.

Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge and hands-on experience in operating machinery

such as Excavator, Backhoe, Bulldozer, Back Pusher, and other road construction equipment. Strong understanding of

machine safety

, operating limits, and basic troubleshooting. Ability to read and follow site plans, instructions, and technical guidance. Good coordination, focus, and awareness when handling equipment. Ability to work under minimal supervision and perform in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

Minimum

SPM

or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory). Valid

Heavy Machinery Operator License

or relevant certification (where applicable). Minimum

1-3 years

of experience in road construction or earthwork operations.

Working Conditions

Work is performed at construction sites, often in outdoor environments. Must be physically fit and able to handle extended work hours when required. PPE must be worn at all times during site operations.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Work Location: On the road
