Operate assigned machines according to work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Set up machines before production runs, including basic adjustments and tool changes when required.
Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure product quality and efficiency.
Conduct routine checks and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Perform basic preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
Report machine breakdowns, defects, or abnormal conditions to the supervisor immediately.
Ensure production output meets quality and quantity requirements.
Maintain proper records such as production logs or checklists.
Follow workplace safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the production or workshop area.
Welder
Perform welding works using appropriate welding processes (e.g. MIG, TIG) as assigned.
Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, and welding specifications.
Carry out cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of metal parts and structures.
Ensure weld quality meets required standards and project specifications.
Inspect completed welds and rectify defects when necessary.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in good condition.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Maintain good housekeeping at the workshop or site.
Assist in fabrication, installation, or site work when required.
Report any safety hazards, defects, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Minimum
SPM / SKM or equivalent
.
Prior experience as a machine operator in manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply (training will be provided).
Proven experience as a welder in engineering, fabrication, or construction environment.
Knowledge of welding methods such as MIG, TIG.
Welding certificate or skill certification is an added advantage.
