A leading valve manufacturer is recruiting for a Machining and Welding Manager job to oversee manufacturing activities to meet operational targets of delivery, quality, cost and revenue. This position reports to the Managing Director.

About the Machining and Welding Manager Role:
In this position, you will lead and manage the machining, welding and engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Increase parts revenue by implementing lead time reduction initiatives, regionalising/localising manufacturing, and executing quote-to-ship for complex engineered parts
• Supervise outsourced process activities while balancing quality, cost, and lead time
• Work together with local vendors and suppliers to ensure stable long-term performance
• Liaise with other departments to meet customer demands
• Drive continuous improvement and cost savings projects
• Develop strategies for manpower, resource, and capability planning to meet long-term operational and strategic needs
• Collaborate with management to establish/maintain effective Environmental, Safety, and Health processes and ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and manufacturing practices

To succeed in this Machining and Welding Manager role, you are expected to possess solid mechanical and managerial experience within the machining and welding industry.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or any relevant technical background
• At least 10 years of experience within the manufacturing and engineering industry
• Experience in machining and welding components
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities
• Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skill
• Experienced in project completion
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing
