JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MACHINIST/TECHNICIAN (SHEET METAL)

Position Overview:

The Machinist/Technician will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal components by interpreting mechanical drawings, operating CNC machinery, and performing welding tasks to meet production and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Read, interpret, and apply mechanical/engineering drawings to carry out fabrication work accurately.

Operate and set up CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal parts according to specifications.

Operate and set up press brake bending machines for precision bending of sheet metal components.

Perform welding processes (e.g., MIG/TIG/arc welding/laser welding) to assemble and join sheet metal parts or structures.

Ensure all fabricated parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.

Conduct routine machine checks, perform basic maintenance, and report abnormalities.

Adhere to workplace safety procedures, including safe handling of machinery and materials.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to achieve project timelines and output targets.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.

Qualifications / Skills:

Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings.

Hands-on experience with CNC laser cutting and press brake machines.

Proficiency in basic welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc).

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)

OT :

when required after work hours on weekdays and during weekends/public holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
