We have a new 12-month extendable contract opportunity for a

Mainframe System Analyst

to support our client's Cards & Payments platforms in Kuala Lumpur. Please find the key details below:

Role:

Mainframe System Analyst (CardLink / Vision Plus)

Location:

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Work Setup:

Onsite - 5 Days Work From Office

Contract Duration:

12 Months - Extendable

Experience Required:

Minimum 6 years (System Analyst)

Requirement:

Strong System Analyst with hands-on experience in CardLink / Vision Plus and mainframe technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse, design, and enhance CardLink / Vision Plus (CCA / FS / Core Apps / Foundation / Global Cards). Perform system analysis, requirement gathering, and functional specification preparation. Work on COBOL, JCL, CICS, and mainframe environments (z/OS). Handle VSAM and Sequential Datasets (no database work involved). Support development teams with design clarifications and solution guidance. Collaborate with users, IT teams, and vendors to deliver system changes and enhancements. Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level-3 support. Prepare documentation for system design, workflows, and change requests. Ensure delivery quality, compliance, and system stability.

Mandatory Skills

Minimum 6 years as a

Mainframe System Analyst

Strong experience with

CardLink / Vision Plus (mandatory)

Hands-on knowledge of

COBOL, JCL, CICS, z/OS

Experience with

VSAM & Sequential Datasets

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to engage effectively with business users, IT teams & vendors Good understanding of Cards & Payments domain

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in Cards platform design and development Prior exposure to banking/financial applications Performance tuning or solution optimization experience
