The Maintenance Manager at Tune Hotel KLIA2 is responsible for overseeing all hotel maintenance operations, ensuring the property's systems, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained and running efficiently. This role includes supervising the maintenance team, planning preventive maintenance, managing contractors, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the hotel's maintenance operations, covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
Develop and execute
preventive and corrective maintenance plans
.
Supervise, train, and schedule the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and equipment efficiently.
Oversee and liaise with external contractors for specialized work.
Ensure compliance with
health, safety, and environmental standards
.
Manage departmental budgets and track maintenance expenses.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize guest inconvenience.
Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security to maintain smooth hotel operations.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum
3-5 years of hotel maintenance experience
, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and mechanical).
Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on and proactive in maintenance operations.
Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
