Job Description

1. Job Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily maintenance operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are well maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Operations

Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify defects and maintenance needs. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented effectively.

Technical & Maintenance Works

Oversee maintenance works including

air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic civil works

. Attend to emergency repairs and urgent maintenance issues promptly. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Front Office on room defects and room readiness. Liaise with contractors and service providers for specialized repair works. Provide clear handover and updates during shift changes.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements (e.g. DOSH, fire safety). Assist in maintaining maintenance records, logs, and inspection reports. Support workplace safety initiatives and emergency response procedures.

People Management

Guide, train, and supervise maintenance staff to ensure quality workmanship. Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of assigned team members. Promote teamwork and a safe working culture within the department.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
