Job Description

Job responsibilities:

1. Performing preventative maintenance.

2. Diagnosing faults

-Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

-Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures.

-Diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues; Handling emergency requests for cleaning and maintenance services; Communicating with supervisors on the team.

3. To perform monthly hostel maintenance checks.

4. To troubleshoot, repair and install wiring as assigned by superiors.

5. Repair or replace doors, walls, windows and flooring as needed and perform various other basic carpentry tasks.

6. Evaluating, repairing, and maintaining plumbing.

7. Ensure security and safety in all buildings and immediately report any safety hazards to management.

8. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

9. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements (Skills and qualifications):

1. Candidate must at least pass a Diploma Certificate in any course.

2. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.

3. Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.

4. Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity.

5. Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
