GMP Compliance: Familiarity with GMP guidelines and the ability to ensure all maintenance activities comply with these standards.
Repairs and Replacements: Performing repairs or replacing faulty components to restore equipment functionality for manufacturing.
Preventive Maintenance: Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and its related facilities through inspections, troubleshooting, calibration, and cleaning; Support engineer in managing maintenance schedules to ensure compliance.
Dismantling Parts for Cleaning: Guide and support production team in the disassembly of machinery and equipment parts for thorough cleaning, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards and preventing contamination.
Special Equipment Management: Oversee the safety and compliance of special equipment used in manufacturing processes.
Documentation: Experience Quality Management System especially in maintaining detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance schedules and repair logs.
EHS Support: Assist with first aid, documentation, safety access control, and other EHSrelated tasks.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Contractor Management: Coordinate and oversee contractors performing installation, maintenance and repair work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Service Level: Providing excellent service to internal and external customers by addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
Other Engineering Tasks: Support other engineering-related tasks as required by superior.
Support and implement lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to optimize utilities performance and energy efficiency.
Provide engineering support for cross-functional activities and other related tasks assigned by superiors.
Ensuring all processes are compliant with ISO procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support the implementation of lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the department and company.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years of experience.
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, particularly in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with mechanical hands-on experience in maintenance.
Physically fit to work alone and able to work on shift and weekend if required.
Having a valid welder certificate is an advantage.
The ability to clearly convey information and instructions to team members, supervisors, and other departments in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
The capacity to identify problems, analyze potential solutions, and implement the best course of action. This skill is crucial for diagnosing and fixing equipment issues

Taking proactive steps to identify and address maintenance needs before they become major issues
