This role requires a deep understanding of industrial processes, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The Maintenance Technician will support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to the company\'s goal of becoming a world-class manufacturer.Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment.
• Support the efficient operation of the workshop and engineering stores.
• Participate in annual shutdowns, repairs, and inspections of pressure vessels, pumps, and other equipment as required.
• Implement and support preventive maintenance systems.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the workshop and surrounding areas.
• Be available for emergency maintenance calls as needed.
• Practice and promote 5S workplace organization.
• Ensure compliance with environmental care standards through the ISO 14001 system.
• Implement and adhere to ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000, HACCP, AIB, GMP, SHE, and 5S procedures.
• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) in alignment with food production standards.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
• Adhere to discipline, overtime, and safety procedures consistently.

Qualifications and skills

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial process environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications; knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Experience in pump repairs is preferred.
• Welding skills are an asset.
• Familiarity with the SAP system is beneficial.
