POSITION: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (UTILITIES & FACILITIES)
Job Decriptions:

• Manage the operation and maintenance of utility systems and infrastructure, including buildings, electrical power distribution (genset, HT, LV), wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), water supply and filtration systems, drainage, compressed air system, HVAC, fire protection, building management system (BMS), environmental monitoring system (EMS), solar panel system, centralized dust collection/vacuum system, and security systems.

• Ensure uninterrupted utilities supply to the manufacturing plant in a safe, reliable, and costefficient manner.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs to restore equipment functionality.

• Ensure all utility systems and infrastructure comply with GMP, ISO, EHS, EXCiPACT, and local regulatory requirements (DOE, JKKP, MBIP).

• Prepare and submit timely reports related to chimney emissions, wastewater discharge, energy usage, and water consumption as required by regulatory bodies.

• Coordinate and supervise contractors performing maintenance and repair work, ensuring adherence to Colorcon safety and quality standards.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, preventive maintenance schedules, and repair logs in accordance with Colorcon's Quality Management System.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards.

• Support and implement lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to optimize utilities performance and energy efficiency.

• Provide engineering support for cross-functional activities and other related tasks assigned by superiors.

• Ensure all activities and processes comply with ISO procedures, EHS standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned within the scope of your job function and authority to achieve expected results.

Requirements:
? Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in maintenance and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
? Hands-on experience in Utilities and Facilities systems operation and maintenance, including HVAC, WWTP, BMS, EMS, and general plant utilities.
? Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and sustainability programs will be an added advantage.
? Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to convey information and instructions clearly across all levels.
? Certified Competent Person (Wireman PW1 / PW2 / PW3 / PW4 / PW6); candidates pursuing or intending to upgrade to Chargeman A0 certification will have an advantage.
? Demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective corrective actions in a timely manner.
? Capable of working independently and collaboratively to ensure smooth and safe plant operations.
? Physically fit to perform hands-on tasks and willing to work on shifts or during off-hours when required.
? Proactive and adaptable, with the flexibility to adjust to new technologies, operational challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives.
