Business Need / Purpose of Role This position responsible for day-to-day receipting of funds, reconciliation of principal accounts, refunds, and monitoring of prefunding levels. All responsibilities carry out in a manner consistent with the strategic direction and financial context of Inchcape. Duties and Responsibilities: Receipting: Daily review of bank statements to allocate funds as prefunding or Disbursement Accounts settlement. Ensure any unallocated receipts from previous days are followed up and cleared off the unallocated list. All funds received to be allocated within 2 days of receipt. This will entail a review of all the day\'s bank remittance advice, principal\'s remittance advice and e-mails from ports and principals about prefunding and settlement. Backup of remittance advice and e-mails needs to be retained in case of future queries. OK to Sail: Monitoring prefunding received as a percentage of the total estimate to release vessels for sailing once sufficient prefunding has been received. This will require frequent liaison with the ports to ensure additional funds are requested, as necessary. Monitoring of vessels sailed without prefunding and production and distribution of reports identifying vessels without funding. ISS Receivables Inbox: Monitoring the inbox and ensuring e-mails are delegated to individuals appropriately and where necessary replying to principals and ports. Ensuring the e-mail inbox is clear at the end of the working day and all e-mails received have either been actioned, delegated to colleagues, or filed in the appropriate Principal folder. Correspondence with Ports and Principals: Effectively answer any queries from either principals or ports. Refunds: After checking that the refund is due, including review of open voyages, arranging payment to principals on their request and processing the accounting entry in accounting system. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities 3 years\' experience in large transactional business and accounts payable Good communication skills and a good command of the local language and English (oral and written). Proficiency in MS Office application and related systems Attention to Detail and Problem Solving A fast learner to web systems application and able to meet required datelines.
