Role: Malaysia Custom Declarant Executive

Work Location: D37 TPP Office, Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah Department: Maersk Custom Services Contract (3 months conversion)

Salary: RM 2,800 Basic*

Job Scope:

Ensure the timely process customs declaration, meet the KPI and comply to company SOPs Submit timely and correct, accurate clearance submission for import / export / transit shipment Check all documents received from customer and pro-actively drive corrections if needed Check the entry draft within reasonable time frame to ensure that the entry will be provided in most correctness & complete senses before submitting to Customs Dept. Check and classify HS Code within reasonable time frame. Check for change on Customs Regulation and share to all concern parties (external, internal, and customer) Coordinate with internal departments to obtain accurate data. Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, warehouse, and government authorities. Provide customs clearance status updates to clients or internal stakeholders. To ensure that all relating document to be correct & complete before submitting to Customs Coordinate with internal stakeholders & external (customer/vendor) to ensure that the Customs Declaration Entry will be applied correctly and in timely manner or as per customer requirements. Familiar with K1, K2, K8, K9, ZB, LMW, SST, Exemption declaration process. Preferable equipped with FTA related knowledge. Ensure the proper and timely movement and clearance of shipment, while providing an exceptional support within the department. Enforce full compliance of the company's high-performance standard in relation to customer service. Ensure timely customs clearance process flow for customer import and export shipment. Monitor and coordinate the custom approval process with the custom runner at the station. Monitor the custom form termination / cancellation timely within the 14 days validity to avoid hanging form and penalty. Understand department process flow, constantly looking for area of improved efficiency. Perform the certificate of non-manipulation and endorsement timely and accurately to the freezone authority Maintain proper records of all declarations for audit and compliance. Handle customs queries, inspections, or disputes promptly. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in declarations or duty calculations.

Job Requirements:

Working Days: 5.5 days per week Monday-Friday: 8.30 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. (including rest hour) & Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (flexible) Applicant willing to work mid-night (7.00 p.m. to 4.00 a.m.) / rotate shift (rest day) / overtime (Public holiday) Advance PC skills (Microsoft Excel), data entry, filing, and ad-hoc tasks Applicant must have own transport, and willing to travel to Freezone/Customs (claim available) Applicant must have 3-5 years experiences in the related field is required for this position (custom house brokerage related experience). Applicant must knowledge with system Dagangnet of Aldec custom declaration / Johor Port Navis & JPBi / MyPayment / MyCIEDS / West port / North port, etc. Fluency in English and local dialect if appropriate Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent Basic understanding custom process in Malaysia Basic understanding Malaysia custom regulation & law which including HS code, C/O form, Privilege (custom exemption) Applications must be willing to work in Tanjung Pelepas (TPP)
