Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc.. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services. Responsible for Statutory Reporting including filing of Accounts, Corporate Tax and Indirect Taxes Computations in line with IFRS and liaison with external auditors. Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility. Drive simplification opportunities such as MJE reduction, streamline upstream process impacting finance cycles/ account balances. Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Will lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. Managing deliverables of offshore support teams including but not limited to Controllership, Buy to Pay, Intercompany and Cash. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Partner with Aviation Tax team and Transfer Pricing COE to support transfer pricing documentation and billing for both GEESM and GEOWS entities. Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Monitor and drive accurate account reconciliation completion and review. Lead closing and reporting processes including balance sheet review review. Qualifications / Requirements: This role requires significant experience in the Finance & Accounting Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience). Minimum 5-7 years relevant work experience. Accounting/Controllership background (experience with US GAAP or IFRS preferred experience with Malaysia statutory filings preferred).
