We are seeking a responsible and dedicated

Male Warden

to oversee the well-being and discipline of male boarding students at our international school. The warden will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and overall development of students, fostering a nurturing and structured environment that aligns with the values and ethos of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Safety:

Ensure the safety and well-being of male boarding students at all times. Monitor student activities and enforce boarding house rules and regulations. Perform regular checks of the boarding facility to maintain safety standards and security.

Pastoral Care:

Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their academic, personal, and social needs. Foster positive relationships with students and encourage a respectful and supportive environment. Assist in managing homesickness, conflict resolution, and other student issues.

Discipline & Behavioral Management:

Maintain discipline within the boarding house and address behavioral issues appropriately. Implement school policies related to discipline, health, safety, and safeguarding.

Administrative Duties:

Keep accurate records of students' attendance, movements, and any disciplinary actions. Communicate regularly with the Head of Boarding and parents regarding student progress and any concerns. Assist in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities and events.

Health & Emergency Response:

Act as a first point of contact in emergencies and respond quickly to incidents involving students. Ensure students follow school protocols related to health, hygiene, and well-being.

Communication:

Liaise with parents, teachers, and other staff to ensure effective communication regarding student welfare. Translate communications when necessary for Mandarin-speaking students or parents.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience working with young people, preferably in a boarding environment. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred to communicate effectively with students and parents. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Familiarity with international school standards and practices. First Aid or emergency response training is a plus.

Key Competencies:

Patience and empathy in dealing with adolescent students. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Conditions:

Live-in role with accommodation provided within the boarding facility. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
