The Core Job:

• To be knowledgeable of all legal statutes, acts, and guidelines applicable in the industry and advises on regulatory matters as and when required.
• Assist in managing a good governance environment with the implementation of an appropriate compliance policy and the regular review and monitoring of regulatory requirements.

• Assist in stimulating, monitoring, and controlling the observation of relevant and applicable laws, rules, and standards including the business conduct and ethical standards that are relevant to the Company.
• Assist in liaising with regulators (BNM, PIAM, LFSA, etc.) and assist in a regulatory advisory on new products, new projects, and other advisory.
• Assist with the internal business process of compliance monitoring including communication of new regulatory requirements to all relevant departments, ensure timely regulatory submissions, review monthly compliance reports, monitor statutory/non-statutory submissions to BNM, LFSA, PIAM, and other relevant authorities, ensure full governance of product approval process prior to submission to BNM guidelines.
• Assist in monitoring and review to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 (AMLATFA) and other related statutory regulations ensuring compliance of same.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests on matters pertaining to the department and coordinate document information required by regulators.
• Assist to prepare and facilitate visitations by any regulatory bodies.
• Assist in monitoring compliance action plans initiated by Management are assessed and reported to the Board.
• Assist in implementing an appropriate system to facilitate compliance activity and monitoring are developed and maintained.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the regulatory submission register and maintaining an inventory of all laws and regulations.
• Assist in compliance monitoring and review activities and update on monthly compliance declaration by Business Units if there is any regulatory breaches or incident reported.
• Ensure safe keeping of the Department\'s documents. Assist in any other compliance-related tasks as and when required.

Education/Experience:

• Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Law/Finance/Insurance or Qualified Professional Discipline
• 2-3 years of working experience in the Compliance/Audit/Risk Management Department in the Insurance industry.
• Familiar with the regulation/guidelines of Bank Negara Malaysia, PIAM, Companies Act, and Compliance Framework

Extra Bonus Points:

• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Words, and Power Point
• Analytical, results-driven, and a positive working attitude
