Position Overview
This position is based in Malaysia, with primary responsibility for public relations and corporate communication functions across the organization. You will report directly to the company's Group Chief Executive Officer.
As the Manager - Corporate Communications, you will lead the development and execution of the company's integrated communications strategy across both external and internal platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping corporate reputation, amplifying the company's voice on strategic issues, and cultivating strong stakeholder relationships to support long-term business success and social legitimacy.
A key focus of this role is to champion the rollout and embedding of the company's purpose--ensuring it is clearly articulated, understood, and reflected in both internal culture and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that enhances reputation, supports business objectives, and builds stakeholder trust.
Advise senior leadership on communication approaches that align with strategic decisions and stakeholder expectations
Embed the company's purpose in leadership communications, employee engagement, and stakeholder outreach.
Ensure consistent and authentic messaging that reinforces the company's values and mission.
Lead external communications including financial disclosures, media relations, public affairs, and crisis response.
Serve as the company's public relations lead in managing communications during crises or disasters, ensuring timely, transparent, and coordinated messaging to protect reputation and maintain stakeholder confidence
Position the company as a credible and responsible voice through proactive media engagement and thought leadership.
Drive employee alignment through effective internal channels such as townhalls, newsletters, and cascading messages.
Foster a culture of transparency, engagement, and shared purpose across all levels of the organization.
Execute a digital and social media strategy that elevates the company's visibility, strengthens brand image, and communicates key updates on business activities and operations.
Monitor and manage online presence to ensure alignment with corporate reputation goals.
Any other duties as and when assigned.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in corporate communications, including leadership or management exposure.
Background in communications, social sciences, or environmental studies is advantageous.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; passionate team player with a proactive mindset.
