Key responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Credit Policy:

  • Review and update PFS Credit Policies from a risk perspective (credit, operational, regulatory compliance) as well as process flow efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish / streamline / enhance the underwriting criteria for new and existing PFS products ( Mortgage, Hire Purchase, Credit Card, Personal Loans, Share Margin Finance, ASB) or tactical programs for Malaysia and Singapore market.
Portfolio Management & Analysis:
  • Develop and track product performance for risk monitoring and ensure specific programs/ portfolios are within the required capping in terms of approving limit or delinquency performance.
  • Recommend policy tightening or loosening based on reviews of portfolio performance, customer profiling/segmentation, including banking transactional data, learning from test programs and exceptions bookings.
  • Initiate and perform sanitisation checks for cross-sell / invitation-to-apply programs within the required timeframe, including highlighting expectations from the review.
Automation & Digitalization:
  • To initiate or support both new and enhancement projects that have relevance to credit risk / policy for more effective risk & credit management purpose, including system developments and performing UAT.
  • Develop / continuous enhancement on straight-through decisioning capability.
Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure policies and SOP are compliant with regulatory guidelines.
  • Conducting independent reviews and controls to strengthen governance within the department, identifying possible gaps/ breaches and implementing controls.
Jobholder Requirements:

Requirements
  • Malaysian citizen
Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor\'s degree or above (preferably in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Actuarial Science).
Experience
  • Able to understand and explain data in terms of portfolio asset quality.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking industry, with exposure to credit risk management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in driving / supporting loan origination system enhancement or process re-engineering scope (Preferably familiar with straight-through credit decisioning).
