This role requires the incumbent to perform the technical data management functions to safeguard and deliver aspect of planning for, controlling and delivering enterprise data and information assets based on Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) principles.

• Lead the technical design, development and implementation an enterprise data ecosystem to acquire, organize, transform, store, and share both structured and unstructured data according to business use case.
• Design and develop an enterprise data framework to enable data integration and ensuring seamless flow of accurate and consistent data across systems for analytical use.
• Conduct and manage users\' requirements study and document and translate the requirements into technical data management team deliverables.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, regularly assessing and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with data owners and stewards, while designing and maintaining accurate and compliant data models.
• Develop and implement a data governance program and accountability framework to foster a data-centric culture, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data.
• Collaborate with cross-department teams to identify and document data requirements, contribute to the organization\'s data strategy, and implement data management activities throughout the data lifecycle.
• Implement data security measures, address data privacy concerns, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, working with other teams on data-related assessments and compliance assurance programs.

CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• Adhere to the Sarawak Energy PPGs particularly SEB Code of Ethics, the EIM and CSRM PPGs.
• Familiarity with applicable legislation such as PDPA, GDPR and relevant ISO standards.
• Keeping abreast of the latest development data platform technology and best practices in an ever-increasing usage of Cloud solutions.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or working experiences in data management.
• Preferably minimum of 10-12 years proven experience in data management with strong understanding of DAMA DMBOK framework, and encompassing at least 4-5 years\' experience in leading and managing an organizational team.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficient in data modeling, quality management, and master/reference data management, aligning with business requirements and ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple data domains.
• Solid knowledge of data lifecycle management, including data acquisition, migration, retention, archival, and disposal, and the ability to produce related procedures and guidelines.
• Experienced in configuring, managing, and implementing data analytics platforms or ecosystems, including data access, storage, retrieval, and acting on data in various repositories.
• Skilled in data integration, ingestion from varied sources using APIs and programming languages like Java and SQL, and adept with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI.
• Capable of embedding data roles and accountabilities to foster a data-centric culture, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and possessing strong project management skills.
