GHC Policy, Procedures & Governance Specialist

Reports To

CoE

Role Purpose

This role is to support the development and implementation of process improvement efforts for the Group Human Capital to implement efficiencies and standardization while maintaining compliance. This includes responsibility for assessing HC processes to identify and design the most efficient means necessary for process improvement as well as supporting the communication and implementation of identified changes. This role is critical for evaluating and updating HC policies.

Key Accountability

  • Ascertain and evaluate the business needs of the Group in developing competitive and consistent HR policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all knowledge base inventory, design of the system, and workflow to ensure documents are updated timely and appropriately.
  • Performs in depth evaluation and monitoring of current HR procedures to identify ways to make things more efficient and eliminate aspects that aren't valuable
  • Develops and documents supporting business process information for purposes of decision making, consistency, and alignment, including developing process flow maps for current and future state process improvement efforts.
  • Assess HR processes to identify and design the most efficient means necessary for process improvement as well as support the communication and implementation of identified changes.
  • Conducts and utilizes research regarding best practices to develop recommendations for policy and procedure updates
  • Ensures all processes are in compliance with legislation, company policies, and regulatory standards
  • Monitors changes in business environment and legislation and regulatory standards which may affect HR policies and procedures, to ensure continued compliance
  • Works with stakeholders (domestic and international) and policy owners to maintain consistency and harmonization of policy and procedures across MAG.
  • Supports other COEs by assisting with policy and process harmonisation.
  • Identifies trends and recommend opportunities (e. g., training and other tools) that will improve understanding and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Recommend HR policy modifications in support of business initiatives, consent decrees, legal actions, etc.
  • Write, rewrite and publish HR policies and procedures.
Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field

Years of Experience :

2 years of experience interpreting, updating and/or managing Human Resources policies and procedure
2 years of experience identifying and/or supporting process improvement initiatives

Areas of Experience :
  • In depth knowledge of employment legislation, compliance and regulatory standards
  • In depth knowledge HC policies, procedures and employment practices
