Objectives of the Position

Work closely with the local leaders and people manager, in HR Advisory and support them to translate business priorities and organization needs into people and HR initiatives within Malaysia. Work will include supporting Managers with organization development, employee communications, HR framework execution, HR operations, talent acquisition, policy advice & adherence.

Effectively manage special projects assigned in HR area in line with the project deliverables and manage all stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are communicated effectively.

Main Tasks

Work with people leaders and managers in Malaysia to consult, share insights and execute critical HR topics, with a focus on creating a high-performing and productive workforce, and enhancing a change mindset as aligned with the Business and Corporate Strategy

Build and maintain a relationship as trusted HR partner with key stakeholders within BASF offices.

Support the management and administration execution of BASF HR framework incl. annual salary review, performance management, talent forum, succession planning, talent program nomination etc.

Coach manager and employees on people matters including performance, terminations, disciplinary issues, career development, covering office employees

Support ER & IR matters within offices, which consist of staff disciplines, industrial relations disputes and being part of Collective Agreement panel discussions and negotiations. Advise office staff as to appropriate resolution of employee relations

Ensure coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program to generate a positive first impression for employees and emphasize the importance of belonging in our company culture

Work closely with HR teams to ensure successful deployment and embedment of various HR projects.

Work closely with HRBP and HR CoEs together to find the best solution for the stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve HR excellence and customer satisfaction

Process operational tasks along the HR Processes and identify areas for process improvement, automation, to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team as a whole

Professional Guidance / Multiple Reporting Lines

Administratively reports to Head of Business Services, Malaysia & Singapore and Operationally to Senior Manager,HR.

Works closely with internal HR colleagues within Malaysia (BMS & BASC)

Frequent Cooperation outside BASF Group

Networks and builds relationships with other HR professionals to identify and learn best practices and to generate

Degree of Supervision required in the job

Works with minimal supervision

Education

Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline;

Working Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience in a multinational company environment, specifically in HR generalist and/or business partnering areas

Solid experience and knowledge in local HR practices and statutory requirement

Solid HR advisory experience across multiple groups (Office locations)

Proven record of driving and implementing people initiatives

Exposed and experienced in managing HR project will be an added advantage
