Overall responsibility of Human Resources, operational support and strategic business partner, for the Owned Dealership in Malaysia. Scope includes recruitment, compensation & benefits, payroll, training, talent management, attrition, industrial relations etc.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities/Authorities
HR Generalist
Provide strong operational support to the business covering a range of HR areas, including recruitment, training, international moves, disciplinary and performance management issues, engagement, exit process etc.
End-to-end payroll process - including salary processing, claims processing, year-end tax declaration etc. for local and foreign employees
Work pass application for non-local employees
On-boarding orientation process
Support in the coordination of compensation & benefits policies and calculations, such as salary review, variable bonus etc.
End-to-end recruitment process - headcount approval, job posting, sourcing, interview, offer recommendation etc. for permanent, contract and intern employment
Benefits administration - leave system, claims, long service award, festive packets etc
Training administration
Involved in attrition process - resignation, termination, redundancy etc.
Monthly headcount reporting and other management reporting
Maintain up-to-date Organisation Charts & s
Participate in government survey
Manage company vehicle fleet
HR Business Partner
Advise and support the local management on HR issues associated with policies, plans and budgets
Implement and maintain effective recruitment strategy - innovative ways to attract right talent, understanding requirements from hiring managers, working with search agencies, CVs screening, interviews, offering of candidates
Work closely with stakeholders on learning & development requirements to:
a. Achieve business goals b. Identify talent potential and the necessary development / career progression c. Understand succession planning requirements and potential training & development
Involve in disciplinary matters such as performance improvement discussion, misconduct
Drive the internal employee engagement process, including execution and work with managers on the communication of the results and be involved in action plan discussion
Develop and maintain constructive employee relations, including organizing HR related activities such as monthly staff communication, team activities
Responsible for headcount and budgeting process on HR related cost
Workforce planning
Contribute to HR related tasks and projects as assigned
Forums (Network of Interaction)
External Vendors - HR consultancy/ search firms, payroll, training vendor, relevant business partners Relevant Government agencies - MEF External auditors

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position
Professional Experience
Minimum 7 years HR experience in multi-national company, preferably in generalist role
University degree or equivalent, Major in Human Resources will be an advantage
Strong and broad operational experience with the skills, hands-on HR experience and be involved in detailed transactional HR matters
Additional Important Requirements (e.g. language, mobility)
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Excellent written and oral English
Fluency in the local language is critical
Experience with SAP HR module will be added advantage

This role is an individual contributor position, and reports to the Business Leader for Market Malaysia. The role will be a local position on a local package. Local domestic travel will be required at times and occasional overseas travel.
