The Manager of Institutional Compliance is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the provision of academic processes, quality and governance activity, enabling the University to deliver innovative courses, the Curriculum Framework, and ensuring compliance with all academic aspects of regulatory bodies such as MOHE, MQA, TEQSA, etc.

The incumbent will work closely with the Dean, Learning & Teaching and Director of Academic Quality. The Manager is the key liaison person to all relevant regulatory bodies and the key person in the institutional audit exercise within the University such as SETARA, Institutional Audit, etc. \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf

This includes:

• Advising academic units on their compliance with the statutory requirements and standards such as Malaysia Quality Framework (MQF) compliance for Self-Accreditation Institution, MOHE requirements (academic registration), and MQA standards.
• Monitoring and conducting academic related circulars and correspondences from MOHE and MQA.
• Monitoring the implementation of the set academic standards in the academic units and facilitating leading-edge research, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research, in areas related to the goals of the University.
• Ensuring quality assurance and quality control including robust data recording and reporting to safeguard Curtin University Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s reputation.
• Achieving good governance including document tracking and archiving.
• Collaborating and negotiating with others to develop and deliver customer-focussed services, delivering right-first-time services to the wider University community and external parties.
• Planning, organising and implementing external engagement activities such as CSR activities.

About you

• A bachelor degree from a recognised institution.
• At least three (3) years of experience in quality audit, operation and implementation of academic programmes and institutional compliance in Malaysia. Having experience in a self-accredited university in Malaysia is desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of current standards in the Malaysian Quality Framework. Understanding in Australian Quality Framework is desirable.
• Well-developed leadership skills including the ability to challenge and motivate staff and collaborative leadership style.
• Excellent time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, schedule and prioritize complex tasks and manage complex projects.
• A high level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate orally and in writing, to build rapport with staff and users at all levels and communicate across cultural boundaries.
• Experience at implementing and managing academic programs.
• Ability to achieve compliance with institutional policies and legislative requirements.
