LEGAL & COMPLIANCE DIVISION Manager - Legal & Compliance (1 position) Responsibilities: - 1. Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and related industry standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws. Assess the impact of new laws and regulations on the organization and recommend necessary changes. 2. Regulatory Affairs: Oversee and ensure organizational compliance to all regulatory Acts (e.g. PDPA, OSHA, etc) impacting the business. Interact with regulatory bodies to ensure the organization\'s activities are all aligned with regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies. Represent the organization in regulatory matters and investigations. 3. Contract Management: Assist various departments to review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies. Advise on legal implications of business transactions. 4. Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them. Collaborate with other departments to develop risk management strategies. Monitor and report on legal and compliance risks to senior management/ Risk Committee/BOD. 5. Ethics and Integrity: Develop and promote a strong integrity and compliance culture within the organization. Conduct training on ethics and compliance for employees. Investigate and address instances of unethical behavior or compliance violations. 6. Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing legal dispute and litigation matters. Liaise with external lawyers and attend to legal proceeding matters. 7. Internal Investigations: Conduct internal investigations in response to allegations of non-compliance or unethical behavior. Ensure confidentiality and fairness throughout the investigation process. 8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on legal and compliance activities for senior management and the board. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal and compliance matters. 9. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and compliance matters. Promote awareness of legal and compliance requirements throughout the organization. Requirements: 1. Bachelor\'s degree in Law or a related field, with legal practice qualification. 2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction or developer industry. 3. Familiarity with commercial law, contract law, and international law. 4. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. 5. Good organizational abilities and attention to detail.
