Bruker Nano, one of Bruker\xe2\x80\x99s four operating segments, provides customers in academic, governmental institutions, life science, materials science, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

As Manufacturing Manager, you will work closely with the manufacturing operation of Bruker Penang to drive its success as the Global Fulfillment Center for Bruker NANO. This requires multilayers and function collaboration work from different geographical areas globally. In essence your role will require you to perform the responsibilities below and any other assignment assign to you by your manager or the business.

Responsibilities

Day to day Operations:

• Manage a group of Engineers & Technicians to fulfill supply chain requirement to attain high level of customer service and effective operations to meet revenue goals and targets.
• Managing and developing staff in a manner that will facilitate high-performance in line with standards of leadership.
• Instilling and maintaining a sense of urgency and customer focus within Manufacturing.
• Prioritizing production in line with customer service requirements and revenue goals.
• Promoting a quality-focused culture.
• Ensuring safety policies, procedures and programs are implemented throughout Manufacturing.
• Developing and maintaining a team-based approach within Manufacturing.
• Ensuring results are maintained and displayed a timely basis.

Project Management:

• Organize and lead a small team of project engineers and technicians to support the introduction of new products into the operations as well as coordinate and drive transfers and migration of existing products from other sites. This also includes both in-house as well as outsourcing of modules till release to mass production.
• Participate to ensure implementation and securing approval for all projects per the PLC guidelines and process together with the Sending Project Manager/Leader.
• Responsible for Technical Document Control and Engineering Change implementation of Bruker Penang for AXS business.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

Qualifications

KnKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• A thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes, assembly and production methods.
• A thorough understanding of production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems, including MRP logic and transactions and be able to convert SAP data into useful information.
• Ability to spot critical process issues quickly.

EDEDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Engineering

8+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of ERP systems (prefer SAP).

Development of SOP and Procedures Manufacturing methods and processesContinuous improvement activities and methods

AutoCAD

MTM

Excellent PC skills, especially Excel.
