Summary: Manages and provides direct and indirect supervision to skilled and intermediate-level professional employees performing diverse roles in more than one function or unit. Provide direction, coordination, education and tools needed to achieve and maintain the site Incoming Quality Management process, control & system and enable the achievement of quality objectives.

Detailed Description: Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Supports generation of performance metrics for products and processes of moderate complexity, and drives the team to achieve Quality Goals set by management (i.e.: LAR, MRB, STS and compliance following industry standards such as ISO, IPC, AS, TL & internal procedures)
  • Leads Quality Improvement Programs (QIP) in support of customer & internal requirements and expectations that are considered medium in scale and moderately complex.
  • Mentors and trains personnel in the practices of Quality management and Quality improvement (succession development)
  • Resolves incoming material quality issues of moderate difficulty using quality tools: Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions that are effective and timely.
  • Provides leadership and support in a variety of areas such as, analysis of nonconforming materials and supplier return material authorizations.(MRB-RTV\'s), coordinating inspection, supporting internal tasks/activities (i.e. Deviation, screening, resource planning, etc), customer or 3rd party audits, administration of Quality management (Documentation, Change Control,...etc) and
  • Supports new supplier and material qualification with First Article Inspections and oversee generation of inspection records.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
  • In depth of quality metrics, ISO standards and processes.
  • Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external suppliers.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Google Applications, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of the manufacturing and inspection processes
Physical Demands:
  • The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Typical Experience:
  • 10 to 12 years
Typical Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree. Bachelor\'s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
