We are seeking an experienced and technically strong
Manager, Process Improvement
to lead optimization initiatives, enhance plant performance, and drive operational excellence across manufacturing and chemical processes. This role oversees end-to-end process improvement activities, technical troubleshooting, safety compliance, and team capability development within a high-performance plant environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to the team to build a high-performance culture.
Identify skill gaps and implement training and development plans.
Process Improvement & Methodology
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using
Lean, Six Sigma
, and structured problem-solving tools.
Track, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement programs.
Technical & Engineering Support
Oversee maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Approve technical recommendations and equipment modifications based on safety, cost, and performance.
Support and coordinate CAPEX projects including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Process Safety & Compliance
Maintain and update
Process Safety Information (PSI)
including MSDS, chemical registry, mass balance, PHA reports, etc.
Communicate updated PSI to process owners and supporting departments.
Support identification and management of
Safety Critical Elements (SCEs)
with cross-functional teams.
Lead or participate in
Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
activities, including HAZOP studies.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track key operational KPIs such as downtime, maintenance cost, reliability, and response times.
Analyze equipment performance data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and deliver performance reports and insights to management.
Quality, Standards & Best Practices
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, operational best practices, and relevant industry codes.
Drive initiatives that strengthen plant reliability, efficiency, and safety performance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering
(Manufacturing or Chemical preferred).
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience
in a polysilicon or chemical plant.
At least
3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
.
Strong understanding of
chemical plant equipment
, process operations, and plant reliability.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Willing to work
shifts or overtime
when required.
High safety awareness and commitment to compliance.
Holding a valid
Technologist Title (MBOT)
is an added advantage.
