Role Responsibilities Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of my role. Understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Groups policies, procedures and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance matters are addressed and misconduct appropriately dealt with. . Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct by developing and managing a sustainable and scalable regulatory operations capability. . Maintaining end-to-end oversight in CPBB AML and CDD landscape by taking accountability for activities under Regulatory Operations and ensure relevant stakeholders are deliver the agreed processes and standards. o Governance and Process Management: adherence to CDD relevant processes and procedures ensure audit ready at all time. o CDD MIS: Ensure CPBB CDD Ops is meeting KPIs threshold set by Group e.g. 3% for overdue and 5% for blended CST error rate. o Participate in the Implementation of CDD relevant system, including system enhancements. . Timely completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training, including e-learning by the set deadlines. . Proactive identification and reporting of risks and concerns . Mitigation of risks and resolution of issues in a timely manner including developing suitable controls and measuring their effectiveness (Additional targets for managers) . Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training and related compliance acknowledgements by each member of your team by the set deadlines . Demonstration of adherence to the Group Management Responsibilities policy and fair accountability principles . Prompt and decisive action when any risk and compliance weaknesses become apparent, addressing them in an appropriate timeframe, escalating where necessary, having carefully understood what happened and why. Strategy . Support the implementation of the vision, strategy, direction and leadership for the CPBB CDD team, consistent with the vision and strategy for CPBB and in support of the Group\'s strategic direction and growth aspirations. . CPBB CDD Operations unit is the Middle office for performing due diligence review on the high-risk clients. Business . CPBB, Malaysia Processes . Support to review relevant policies/processes/DOIs in relations to CDD compliance, aligning with relevant regulatory requirements. . Support the implementation of FCC policies and standards to ensure compliance with such policies and standards . Prompt and decisive action when any risk and compliance weaknesses become apparent, addressing them in an appropriate timeframe, escalating where necessary, having carefully understood what happened and why. . On-boarding CDD review . On-going CDD review i.e. PRR & TRR, including CDD remediation exercises. . Handling of CC submissions, including coordinating info between CPBB Business Units and FCC, review and monitor the end-to-end approval. . No adverse complaints and AMLS operational losses. Risk Management . Apply Group and Country CDD policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks. . Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions. . Inform senior management and relevant regulators of serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased. . Undertake enhanced due diligence on new and existing medium/higher risk such as C/D risk rated clients and those associated with high risk industries or countries. . CDD reviews e.g. PRR, DRR/TRR, remediation activities. Responsibilities . Governance . Ensure CDD processes are in line with Group guidelines, Regulatory requirements and Country addendum. . Support the Malaysia CPBB CDD Ops team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients Financial Crime Prevention The Right Environment. Qualifications . Training, licenses, memberships and certifications . Graduate professional e.g. Certification in AML/CTF, Regulatory Compliance . Adequate Knowledge on CPBB Our Ideal Candidate Market Knowledge: Substantial experience at the highest level in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role Risk Analytic: Strong working knowledge and understanding of risk analytics including scorecards, Basel, stress testing and scenario planning. Risk Management and Control: Demonstrated track record in successful management and ability to manage risk in geographically dispersed and highly varied product base. Expertise in process design and control Regulatory framework and requirement: awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Ability to prioritise multiple deliverables with demonstrable organizational, project management and time management skills. Well versed with various principle and other risk types, its implication of individual and business lending and for overall function.
