Champion the development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of facility and transport design capabilities within the country organization.
Lead the design of optimal commercial and operational solutions for both new and existing customers.
Partner closely with customers, Business Development (BD), and internal stakeholders to deeply understand supply chain requirements, challenges, and growth ambitions.
Translate customer insights into compelling, data?driven solutions that clearly articulate DHL's value proposition.
Provide solution?specific advice and analytical inputs to BD Leads to support sales strategy, budgeting, performance reviews, and deal optimization.
Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to design, model, simulate, and evaluate optimized logistics solutions using appropriate software and analytical tools.
Develop, review, and refine methodologies that directly enhance operational productivity, service levels, and process efficiency across DHL Supply Chain (DSC).
Share, showcase, and embed new solution design capabilities across the organization.
Ensure all cost models are accurate, fully interpreted, and validated in collaboration with Finance.
Define selling rates and revenue assumptions, ensuring alignment between finance models, BD teams, and implementation teams.
Review and correct Business Case Approvals (BCA) where assumptions or scopes evolve during the project lifecycle.
Clearly communicate total solution costs, commercial assumptions, and financial impacts to project stakeholders.
Support the Head of Solution Design in project allocation, prioritization, and resourcing decisions.
Secure formal buy?off from Solution Design, Operations, and BD leadership on proposed solutions.
Act as a central communication enabler, aligning project teams on solution logic, cost structures, and design rationale.
Participate in project kick?off meetings and actively support solution integrity throughout the implementation phase.
Adapt solution designs and budgets dynamically based on real?time project conditions and operational realities.
Apply Industrial Engineering principles, tools, and structures to guide operations teams toward improved service quality, productivity, and profitability.
Achieve mutual agreement on working processes, ensure effective implementation, and conduct audits to sustain excellence.
Provide expert guidance and coaching to solution design team members on complex and high?impact designs.
Mentor and upskill the Sales team on solution concepts, commercial structuring, and value?based selling approaches.
Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and cross?functional collaboration.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred), specializing in Logistics / Supply Chain.
5+ years' experience in logistics or supply chain environments, including warehouse operations, facility design, and costing, with at least 2 years in Solution Design.
Exposure to freight management, logistics operations, manufacturing, consulting, or automation is highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of material handling systems, storage media, space and manpower analysis, inventory/SKU profiling, transportation, packaging, and secondary operations.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel/Access and Power BI for complex data analysis
Experience with modeling, simulation, or CAD tools (e.g. Paragon, CAPS, CAST, i2, AutoCAD, CLASS) is desirable.
Hands?on experience with process mapping, time studies, and performance analysis methods.
