Our team provides support across our clients\' Environmental, Social and Governance journeys by identifying specific areas of potential strategic advantage, how to achieve change compatible with evolving Environmental, Social and Governance targets and what transparency is required to earn stakeholder trust.

The Global Sustainability platform has been established with the aim of PwC being the most credible and pre-eminent adviser in ESG and sustainability transformation globally. It will connect experts to deliver on projects from strategy through execution and reporting, xLine of Service and x-territory. This role will support the deliverables of the Malaysian based sustainability SMEs in the Asia Pacific Centre of Excellence (\xe2\x80\x9cCoE\xe2\x80\x9d) Project, and the Malaysia-Vietnam firm\xe2\x80\x99s own sustainability CoE. The CoE project will drive increased business performance through improved allocation of expertise and support in both project proposals and project deliveries, as well as supporting thought leadership, profiling, and continued market development.

Nature and Biodiversity is an area of expertise that PwC is building into a leading global practice, and this will be achieved by the development and offering of services derived from practical implementation experience and knowledge.

Key accountabilities

You will be part of the Asia Pacific sustainability team, and you will support the SME for biodiversity, with an initial focus on the agriculture and timber sectors in Indonesia and Malaysia.

You will be responsible for research, provide support for project development, management and implementation, compiling a library of existing PwC resources on Biodiversity and Nature, knowledge material development support, general reporting and presentation. You will work closely with the SME Biodiversity and other members of the team.

We are an agile team (think start up) with minimal resources and we require someone who is pragmatic, organised, hands on and comfortable with liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the region.

Responsibilities include

Carry out research and analyse data related to biodiversity and nature.

Provide support for project development, management and implementation.

Compile and catalogue an e-library of resources on Biodiversity and Nature, focusing on external standards and best practice, sectoral specific case studies, and PwC publications.

Compile and catalogue a rolodex of relevant expertise and interested parties within PwC Asia Pacific to enable implementation of the Biodiversity and Nature agenda.

Support development of knowledge materials related to Biodiversity and Nature and its practical implementation.

General reporting and presentation.

Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders (local territory, wider AP sustainability, regional and the leadership teams).

Act as ambassador for sustainability, notably Biodiversity and Nature, across the organisation.

Preferred skills

Has intent to specialise in sustainability.

An academic background in sustainability relevant sciences is desirable but not essential.

Ability to synthesise large quantities of complex data into clear messages.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and communicate key sustainability drivers and trends.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint and Salesforce.

Detail and results oriented.

Familiarity with the PwC internal networks and people.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with various levels of stakeholders.
