:Key Responsibilities *Sustainability Governance and RiskEngage in identifying, assessing, mitigating, managing and reporting on current and emerging sustainability risks, with a focus on managing sustainability risks that are primarily owned by Group Sustainability (i.e.: climate risk, biodiversity risk, human rights risk, financial inclusion and emerging risks, etc.), including development and execution of strategies and roadmaps as part of the broader CIMB Sustainability Strategy and CIMB Risk Management strategy.Execute integration of sustainability risks into the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (EWRM), working closely with Group Risk to ensure that Sustainability-related risks are managed within the Group, including integration into processes such as the group risk library reviews, material risk assessment, risk hotspots assessment, risk posture annual review, Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), etcWork closely with the Climate Risk Management Unit.Conduct implementation of effective governance structures across the region to enable the effective management of Sustainability-related risks.Perform the development of enablers such as data architecture and operating models (people, processes and systems) required for the effective and efficient management of sustainability risks, ensuring sound project management to achieve desired outcomes.Provide timely updates to relevant governing bodies at Management and Board level to promote transparency and effective oversight of Sustainability Risks.Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, partners, NGOs, and governmental agencies, to discuss sustainability strategies, risk management, and promote the organisation\'s commitment to sustainability, participating with global, regional and local working groups to accelerate learning and to promote mainstream adoption of effective Sustainability Risk Management tools and methodologies.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with sustainability-related financial regulations, reporting, and disclosure requirements to meet industry standards and legal obligations in partnership with Group Compliance, with a focus on Malaysia and playing an oversight and coordination role for the region. This includes:Ensuring regulatory gap analysis is completed in a timely and comprehensive manner for the new and/or updated sustainability regulatory requirements and that adequate processes and/ or controls are in place to promote regulatory compliance.Providing timely updates and reports to appropriate internal and external bodies, including responses to sustainability risk and regulatory requests, as well as regulatory reporting, such as BNM CCPT (Bank Negara Malaysia Climate Change and Principle-based Taxonomy).Acting as the primary point of contact for the Management of the Division/Department in providing advisory support for matters such as coordinating sustainability risk and regulatory requests.Policies and ProceduresEnsure effective development and implementation of all policies and procedures owned by Group Sustainability in a robust and disciplined manner to achieve sound sustainability-risk management practices and reporting within the Division / Department and across CIMB Group. This includes:Supporting the development and review process of policies and procedures (P&P) related to sustainability and climate change, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.Ensuring that divisional / departmental policies, procedures and standard operating procedures are well drafted to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and providing support to process owners in designing and implementing controls to address sustainability-related risks and ensure effective policy compliance.Performing reviews and approvals for all sustainability related P&P, including coordinating with relevant units such as the Group Policy & Procedure Oversight Committee.Ensure compliance with all Group Policies and Procedures, working closely with the Sustainability Risk Control UnitKey Dimension of Impact *Ensure Group\'s key sustainability commitments and regulatory requirement are met, including:Net Zero GHG by 2050Compliance to Regulatory Requirements such as CCPT and CRMSAFinancial Inclusion targets to improve the financial health of prioritised groupsLeading mitigation of potential credit and reputational impacts arising from sustainability-related risks such as Climate, Biodiversity, Human Rights, Financial Inclusion etc.Job Specification *Qualifications(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)Bachelor Degree holder or equivalent.Academic qualification in financial or sustainability-related discipline from a recognised institution is preferred.Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirementsProfessional or post graduate qualifications in a Sustainability-related area is preferred e.g. Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate by Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)Relevant Work ExperienceMore than 6 years of work experience in a risk/governance related role within a financial instutution, preferably with at least 2 years experience in leading or supporting a sustainability / climate related risk areaRequired Competencies and Skills *Competencies/Skills(Essential to succeed in this job)Strong passion and interest for sustainability, coupled with in-depth knowledge of risk management in a financial services setting (strong preference for risk experience in banking, particularly in terms of climate risk management or enterprise risk management)Excellent communication skills both, verbal and written, and the ability to articulate risk to non-risk personnel, and ability to develop and deliver effective presentations at management and board levelStrong analytical skills and an understanding of risk drivers (particularly in relation to climate risk).Able to work well with internal parties such as Risk and Compliance on complex issuesDemonstrated managerial, leadership and facilitation skills**only shortlisted candidates will be notified
