Looking for a Sales Manager to set up and lead a new sanitary ware company in Johor. Responsible for establishing the business from the ground up, including company setup, sales development, operations, team building, and supply chain management (if possible).
Initial focus on the project market (developers, contractors, fit-out projects), with retail expansion planned for the future. Products under own brand, sourced from existing suppliers in China, covering bathroom items (toilets, wash basins, faucets, mirrors, accessories) and kitchen sinks/faucets.
The ideal candidate should be Chinese (Mandarin-speaking preferred) to communicate effectively with suppliers in China, and have strong experience in the sanitary ware or building materials industry. Must be entrepreneurial, resourceful, and capable of handling imports, local operations, and market development to build a solid foundation for long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets. Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and potential growth segments. Drive market expansion locally and regionally through strong sales planning and execution.
Account & Channel Management
Manage and strengthen relationships with key distributors, dealers, architects, and contractors. Expand and maintain the company's sales network and distribution channels. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements to ensure profitability.
Sales Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs. Provide guidance on sales techniques, customer engagement, and performance improvement. Foster a high-performance, customer-oriented sales culture.
Marketing & Business Support
Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns, trade shows, and product launches. Provide market feedback to management on competitor activities, pricing, and customer needs. Ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
Sales Performance & Reporting
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, forecasts, and budgets. Prepare regular sales reports and recommend corrective actions where needed. Ensure timely collection of payments and compliance with sales policies.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in sanitary ware, building materials, FMCG, or similar industries.
Strong understanding of sales channels, distribution networks, and customer relationship management.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
