Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mandarin Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mandarin language courses aligned with the IGCSE syllabus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mandarin language instruction, a deep understanding of the IGCSE curriculum, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver Mandarin language lessons in accordance with the IGCSE syllabus, ensuring alignment with educational standards and school objectives. Student Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active student participation and engagement. Resource Development: Develop and utilize instructional materials and resources that enhance the learning experience and cater to diverse learning needs. Professional Development: Stay abreast of educational best practices and advancements in Mandarin language instruction through ongoing professional development. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being. Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to the school's extracurricular programs, including language clubs, cultural events, and other initiatives that promote Mandarin language and culture.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Mandarin Language, or a related field. A teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent) is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting and with the IGCSE syllabus. Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin. Proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IGCSE curriculum and assessment standards. Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom. Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural diversity, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
