Background: European MNC (Greenfield) - Electrical & Electronics
Position Title: Manufacturing Manager
Location: Simpang Ampat, Penang
Tenure: Permanent
Headcount: 1

Job Highlights:

• Reports to the Plant General Manager
• Lead the local production function
• Define and communicate local production management strategy and coordinate implementation to ensure production objectives are achieved.
• Responsible for workshop management to ensure 5S and work discipline are respected and maintained.
• Work and coordinate with the support functions to ensure troubleshooting and prevention of production issues
• Regular production situation evaluation and reporting
• Capable to train and coach direct reports which consists of production supervisors.

Responsibilties:

• According to production forecast and orders, coordinate the demand of each product line to establish the production capacity.
• To monitor the completion of the production task and formulate corresponding countermeasures in an emergency.
• Solve the quality of the products according to reports (i.e., quality inspection, customer complaint and information feedback
• According to production needs, optimizing the layout and process of the production to improve the production technology.
• Promote the safety work of the production workshops and improve the management level.
• Reduce the costs by improving the production efficiency, reducing scrap rate, controlling consumables.
• Daily management, assessment and training of the department.
• Preparing/tracking budget of department annual staff training cost, and related content in 5star.

Requirements:

• Possess at least 5+ years' professional expertise in workshop management of manufacturing factory with Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Process/Industrial Engineering experience in electronic / electric / manufacturing industry is preferred; other related industrial background is also acceptable
• Understanding modern electronic mass production machines and processes
• Mass production management experience
• 5S & ISO 9000 experience is a MUST requirement;
• Lean manufacturing experience is required
• Proficient in 5S, SPC, 6 Sigma, KaiZen
• ERP knowledge and experience
• Training & coaching skills is required
• Able to communicate in English fluently
• Cross functional team working capability
• Dynamic in coordinating support functions
• Good at communication and be easy to work with
