This position will be part of the Market Access Public Affairs (MAPA) Department at Novo Nordisk Malaysia. Our team is devoted to improving patient access to our life-changing therapies. We work collaboratively with health economic opinion leaders, reimbursement agencies, medical associations, and primary care organizations to shape opinions and secure reimbursement for our products. The Market Access Manager for Key Government Institutions role focuses on implementing strategic Diabetic Care & Obesity solutions for major accounts like Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Ministry of Defence (MOD), and selected Teaching Hospitals. This involves building sustainable relationships, leveraging customer insights, and managing internal efforts to create value for all stakeholders involved.Other role expectations are as follows:

  • Gather descriptive information for Account Profile development from internal sources and discussions with Key Government Institutions.
  • Understand logistical processes, decision-making, and stakeholder perspectives within the account, including needs related to patient outcomes and past success/failure with Novo Nordisk Diabetes Care & Obesity.
  • Define short and long-term business opportunities, objectives, and a comprehensive plan for the Key Government Institution, aligning with account goals, competitive factors, and Novo Nordisk Diabetes Care & Obesity\'s value propositions, while developing customer-centric strategies, product portfolios, collaborative opportunities, negotiation positions, and metrics for effective implementation and evaluation.
  • Cultivate hospital formulary listings for Novo Nordisk Diabetes Care & Obesity products and maintain lasting relationships with key stakeholders, while strategically collaborating, negotiating, and adapting based on tracked metrics.
  • Identify and pursue new tender opportunities in Key Government Institutions, ensuring awareness among internal stakeholders upon product listing decisions, and actively monitor product usage and upcoming tender calls. Also, collaborate with institutions to shape tender conditions, including terms, timing, and specifications.
Qualifications
  • Relevant academic degree in science or business.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years in the pharmaceutical industry; managerial experience is preferred. Marketing/Sales Management or Key Government Institutions Management or Market Access specialization is advantageous.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of the current pharmaceutical, diabetes, obesity, and key government institution landscape.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally.
