Job Description


Role Responsibilities Responsible for achieving Wealth Markets Products and Sales, BC Sales (WMPS), Malaysia budget. Ensure delivery and implementation of strategic plans for BB on market products to meet financial budget based on respective portfolio. To establish and maintain key relationships with internal/external clients/counterparty on expanding the current portfolio through an increase in new clients and volume. Support the development of digital platform which focuses on productivity/scalability and efficiency. Provide advisory to RM/TS/Client via formal write up/conference call on market movement and drive the desired business outcome through superior advisory skills. Exercise due care and diligence on matters related to Money Laundering and KYC in the day to day operations, which include account opening and reviews, transaction monitoring, reporting suspicions, customer communication, implementing new requirements, operating procedures, acquire relevant knowledge and training, and provide support to relevant stakeholders. Adhere to all key policy and procedures applicable Highly disciplined and observe house rule set by desk head. Ability to work together with a mixture of independence, self motivation and initiative. Strategy Ensure steady growth in WMPS - BB revenue a) Directly : Foreign exchange profit, Fee income through sales of FX and investment product b) Indirectly : Commissions and fees through remittances, PCI transactions, bills transactions, and other cross marketing services. Business Dedicated to servicing Business Banking clients in FX sales, marketing and support. To build relationship with customers and increase FX sales volume. Get new FX businesses via phone contacts and marketing calls. Ensuring Forward limits are optimally utilized. Provide FX product training to Business Banking, Trade and Working Capital sales staff. Innovative in packaging FX products to cater for clients Ability to work together with a mixture of independence, self motivation and initiative. Driven by ambitious profit budgets. Clear communication skills. Experience in quoting Spot and Forward rates. Knowledge in structured products would be an advantage Practical technical skills in Global Markets products and some general knowledge in banking and current affairs. Excellent marketing and management skills. Ability to converse in English, Malay, Mandarin and other Chinese dialects. Processes All WMPS and FM process, policies and guidelines People and Talent Coordinate with sales staffs / specialists and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Risk Management Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them. The ability to interpret the Group\'s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures. Act under the Group\'s Risk Management Framework. Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility Governance Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group\'s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas. Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Responsible for delivering \'effective governance\' capability to challenge fellow executives effectively and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key Stakeholders Internal All banking divisions, notably Direct and Indirect reports, WM product, segment owners, product owners, FM Sales, DCM , Structuring, credit, risk, support functions including and not limited to L&C , ITSC and operations External Business Banking Clients, through their directors, finance managers and assistants Other Responsibilities Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in WMPS Malaysia team. Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
