Summary:

The Marketing Advisor, Data & Insights, will play a key role in supporting our ambition to be recognized as a leader in sustainability solutions. They will champion a data-informed approach to decision-making, lead market research, data and intelligence gathering, and translate data into meaningful insights to optimise marketing activities.

Reporting to: Group Director, Marketing on an interim basis

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret marketing data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Develop data models, perform segmentation, and conduct statistical analysis to derive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting:
  • Create visually compelling and intuitive data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate complex information to non-marketing stakeholders.
  • Develop automated reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of marketing insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to internal teams.
  • Marketing Performance Measurement:
  • Implement and manage robust tracking mechanisms to monitor marketing campaign performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) across a range of channels and activities including SEO, PPC, earned media, web, social and CRM activities
  • Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations to optimize message recall, engagement rate and conversion.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape.
  • Utilize research findings to identify opportunities to inform marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor competitors\' activities, analyse market positioning, and provide insights to enhance our competitive advantage.
  • Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance processes, performing data validation, ensuring tracking and tagging, and resolving data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with I&DD and Growth COE teams to enhance data infrastructure and implement best practices for data management and analysis.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies related to marketing analytics and data analysis.

About You:

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing, analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing performance analytics and optimization, including website analytics (GA/GA4), social media analytics (Hootsuite), email marketing analytics (Pardot), and Power BI.
  • Background in web analytics.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative approach to decision-making and problem-solving, challenging and supporting the wider marketing team to influence and inspire others to act.
  • Experience with enterprise-level CRM Salesforce is essential.
  • Influencing and presentation. Able to present and explain findings to engage and influence stakeholders. Excellent communicator.
  • Experience in designing and executing market research.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. With an appetite to always be learning.
  • Demonstrated success operating in a complex, global organisation.
  • Given the global nature of our business, is subject to working outside normal business hours.

Decision Making - Working under minimal supervision, able to plan own work and accomplish varied and complex tasks with the ability to discover issues and recommend solutions.

Supervision Received - Works under supervision and self-initiated technical guidance with regular weekly to monthly interaction with supervisor. Work is not generally supervised in detail and amount of supervision varies depending upon the assignment. Broad duties assigned monthly. Work is occasionally reviewed for accuracy. Usually technical guidance is available to review work programs and advise on unusual features of assignment.

Supervision Authority - May assign activities and give technical guidance to a few staff for a common project.

Communication - Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts. Continue to develop the ability to influence participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports.

Systems, Processes & Tools - Strong understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
