We are currently looking to hire Master Engineer - 275KV (CEE) to be based in our site in Perak. He/She shall be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia as a Professional Engineer and also registered as the 275kV Competent Electrical Engineer (CEE) in charge of power energy systems (focused on substations and power supply lines) electrical engineering projects, special electrical and maintenance of substations and power supply lines and evaluate all maintenance events (breakdowns and preventive demands) to propose solution and support maintenance process inspection, planning and execution to guarantee and improve equipment and system availability. Main responsibilities To be responsible for the electrical installation in VMM to be in fully compliance and accordance to the Electricity Supply Act 1990 (Act 447), Electricity Regulation 1994. Shall be a registered 275kV Competent Electrical Engineer under Vale Installation with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST). Support the actions to achieve the target of equipment availability and installations through maintenance activities. To assist the plant electrical maintenance team on the development of working procedures, maintenance, and spare part requirement as and to provide site electrical training. Implement Vale Production System - VPS and implement Maintenance Management System as well. Follow cycle time for components and propose improvements. To oversee and provide technical advice as and when required on the existing engineering, design and construction of 275/33/6.6.0.415kV switch-yard/substations/electrical & machine rooms as and when required. Homologate and certify new suppliers and spares. Support Maintenance Planning, Lubrication, Execution and Operation team. Data collection for monthly production volume and energy consumption and provide the Energy Consumption Trend. Provide monthly energy forecast based on latest tendency from operation team. Represent VMM/Focal person for Global Energy Efficiency Initiatives. Execute safety and technical inspections on the equipment on the site. Contribute in detection, report and elimination of abnormalities in the operational process through control of the process variables, using quality tools such as Pareto, Failure Analysis, Loss Profile and others that could be applied. Assure the health and safety procedures RAC 4 and RAC 10 for VMM employees and third parties through preventive actions and corrections: Active Genuine Care. RAC 10 Focal/Lead for VMM Committee : On-going update from Global and waiting for RAC10 roll out implementation. To assist the plant electrical maintenance team on the development of working procedures, maintenance and spare part requirement as and to provide site electrical training. Elaborate and guarantee the budget execution giving support to the management, elaborating and controlling the budget under own responsibility. Manage contracts with third parties for engineering services and spot maintenance support, controlling and applying Vale rules for contract management to assure quality of contracted services through monitoring of the fulfillment of the contractual works. Develop improvement projects taking care from the basic project, detail engineering, execution, commissioning and tests until ramp up. Continue on the deployment of 5-years Master Plan initiatives for Energy Efficiency EN04 for VMM. Performing other responsibilities associated with position as may be appropriate. Act according to the ethical code of the company, passing these values to the team. Support Project areas in Greenfield and Brownfield projects, and also small project to increase the local production or productivity, local or other areas demand by Vale with technical solutions and budget development, considering best practices and values (costXbenefits). Manage new and on-going projects related to substations and i.e SCADA online monitoring, DGA multigas monitoring, RCD LV Power Panel Modification, Flame Retardant Cable Coating, Smart Conveyor System and Cable Replacement Project. At any time, Vale can review, at its own discretion, the job roles, and responsibilities according to its strategy. Qualifications: Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) under Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)(BE 132kV/275kV(Preferred) Competent Electrical Engineer (CEE) under Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Experience : 10 years for Degree holders (electrical engineer) and: - More than 8 years of experience in power systems and - 10 years of experience in total for electrical maintenance systems or projects. Significant experience in HV (132kV/275kV/500kV) and in MV (33kV/3.3kV/0.415kV) operation, maintenance, project development, plant improvement, audit inspection, trouble-shooting, fault investigation, testing and commissioning of electrical system (LV, MV & HV) for electrical power system. Strong foundation on electrical Engineering fundamentals. Good communication and writing skills. Able to work independently. Specific knowledge: Skilled in hands-on maintenance knowledge on bulk material handling equipment like conveyor belts, stackers, stacker-reclaimers, ship unloaders, ship loaders and sampling systems. Knowledge in operation and maintenance of High Voltage Power Systems. Added advantage: Experience with Power System Studies using SKM or ETAP.
