Material Planner (Taste & Wellbeing) - Your next position?

As the Material Planner, you will be responsible to Plan and develop processes for material delivery from supplier to point of production.

In this role, you will be based in the Malacca plant and directly report to the Supply Chain Assistant Manager, Malacca.

In this position you will be:

• Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
• Daily order management and management of deliveries
• Manage risks to minimise impact
• Take follow up actions concerning material shortages that affect production
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement programs and identify areas of improvement
• Utilise any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues
• Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels
• Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy
• Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in our organization

Your professional profile includes:

• High school diploma/GED with around 3+ years of experience
• Commitment to work towards professional accreditation with an industry-related body
• Previous experience of materials planning in the automotive or manufacturing environment
• Experience with supply chain processes and their interdependencies
• Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience working with suppliers
• IT systems knowledge including
• Experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar
• Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous
• With the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
