Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Material Sourcing:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and service capabilities. Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct periodic supplier performance reviews. Source alternative suppliers or materials to mitigate supply risks.

Material Planning:

Develop and implement material planning strategies aligned with production schedules and demand forecasts. Prepare and maintain accurate material requirement plans (MRP) to ensure adequate inventory levels. Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to manage material flow and minimize delays. Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and consumption patterns to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Coordination and Reporting:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and finance to support operational goals. Prepare reports on procurement activities, inventory status, supplier performance, and cost analysis. Assist in budgeting and cost control related to materials procurement.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement:

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements in sourcing activities. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in sourcing and planning.
