About the role

The Materials Planner is required to ensure the availability of raw and packaging materials in accordance with manufacturing requirements. The Materials Planner is also required to provide forecasts to vendors in a timely manner, monitor supplier delivery performance and assist in action plans to ensure overall supplier performance is at target levels. The Material Planner also needs to ensure raw & packaging material stock levels are in line with the targets set by the Supply Chain Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Identify Materials Requirements Planning: Responsible for executing the MRP process on a daily, weekly basis to ensure production planning and scheduling requirements are met and having the correct materials in place at the right time and in the right quantities.
• Responsible for calling of required raw material or packaging material items based on production plan whilst adhering to centrally defined inventory policy
• Create and Assign Purchase Orders: Responsible for Creating & Assigning Purchase Orders to all Suppliers on the relevant SAP system
• Identifying Missing Material (Shortages): Responsible for Identifying any missing material (Shortages) and expediting the same at the least cost to ensure meeting production planning requirements, escalating where necessary.
• Communicating to supplier about deliveries (pull in or push out) and related matter such as shipping documents.
• Achieve raw materials and packaging inventory target set by Group, manage safety stocks & goods movement
• Generate reports to monitor supplier performance, submit monthly usage
• Coordinate and manage the incoming torn bag claim with vendor or supply site.
• To work out contingency plan to minimize / cover ad hoc issues (quality, shipment delay.etc)
• Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as and when required

• Recognized Degree in any discipline onwards
• Minimum 7 years\' experience in Material Planning roles in Supply Chain function
• Good command of English
• Good working knowledge of ERP, MRP II and MS Office application skills.
• Experience in SAP
