Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced tutor to teach

Singapore Math (Primary & Secondary)

and

Math Olympiad (Beginner to Intermediate)

through online classes. The ideal candidate should be passionate about nurturing strong problem-solving skills and guiding students toward competition readiness.

1. Lesson Planning & Teaching

Conduct engaging online lessons following the Singapore Math curriculum. Teach Math Olympiad problem-solving strategies using structured, competition-aligned methods.

All classroom materials, slides, and worksheets will be provided by our center.

Prepare additional personalised explanations or examples when needed.

2. Lead Competition-Focused Classes

Preferably experienced in leading Math Olympiad or competition-based classes (e.g., SMOPS, RIPMWC, SASMO, AMO, SMKC, etc.).*
Train students in advanced problem-solving and higher-order thinking skills. Monitor students' readiness for upcoming competitions.

3. Student Assessment

Provide clear explanations, step-by-step solutions, and constructive feedback. Evaluate students' progress through quizzes, review papers, and assignments. Share periodic updates with parents.

4. Classroom Management

Manage small-group online classes effectively (Zoom/Google Meet). Maintain an engaging and supportive environment for students aged 7-16.

5. Collaboration & Professionalism

Communicate effectively with parents and center administrators. Attend internal meetings, training sessions, and class briefings when required. Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and consistent lesson delivery.

Requirements

Strong foundation in Singapore Math or Math Olympiad syllabus. Experience teaching Primary or Secondary Math.

Preferably with experience leading Math Olympiad competition classes.

Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and in a child-friendly manner. Reliable internet connection and digital teaching setup. Passionate about teaching and continuous learning.

Must be able to commit for at least 1 year.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Student job

Pay: RM25.00 - RM35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 10 per week
