Responsible for the following up on instruction & commitments associated with the project.
Study and check all drawings for discrepancies. Ensure that incoming services to machines are sufficient.
Supervise crucial mechanical & electrical works.
Keep the detailed record on site, and report to the Project manager on the progress report weekly.
Assist the Project manager in verifying the design of temporary works, if any.
Review the status of the project site consistently.
Ensure the working procedure to comply with the relevant statutory requirement, agreed method and recommend modification to the process, if necessary, to solve any on-site problems.
Give instructions to the contractor for any testing, commissioning or investigation work.
Initiate requests for variations to work and ensure that sufficient information is provided to decide that a proposed modification should be sanctioned.
Inspect the completed work and prepare defect lists if necessary.
Ensure that the items in the defect lists are rectified when required and carry out such further inspections as necessary to ensure that the work is completed.
Attend site meetings, progress meetings, design and technical meetings, meet up with statutory bodies as required and representing the company in all relevant meetings.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including contractor and local authorities to facilitate the construction activities.
Other duties as and when assigned.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor Degree (for ARE) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Must be registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia
Minimum 6 years of relevant site working experience
Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
Able to work independently.
Good communication and coordination skill.
Hardworking, responsible and good working attitude.
Priority will be given to those who are available in short notice.
