• Must be able to work in a fast-track environment with a proven record of delivery of technical projects within a similar role
• Provide management of data centers at single complex/multiple scales in Malaysia. You will be tasked with managing and coordinating the needs of multiple partner teams, while managing changes and maintaining a focus on keeping the project on schedule, budget, quality, and safety
• Client facing role, reporting project progress to senior members of the client team and stakeholders at relevant stages of the project
• You will have proven excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will be able to influence stakeholders, teams to reach desired goals and targets in line with the strategic direction of the project.
• You will have proven leadership experience in Engineering field who will be the single point of contact on the owner\'s behalf
• Working closely with Stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 Client departments, consultants, contractors and leading the drive to deliver on the agreed tasks to ensure schedule, cost and scope are met
• Will you be detailed and logical in your critical thinking. You will consider different options / plans when mitigating risks and will be convincing in your arguments and presentation skills with various stakeholders.
• You will have strong hands-on / site experience of successfully delivering medium to large sized construction projects
• Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, and scheduling and achieving objectives within set goals
• Experience managing vendor relationships and an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry as well as pursuit of industry leading practices
• Knowledge of fast track design build processes and associated documents and agreements
• Understanding of start up/ critical systems\xe2\x80\x99 testing & commissioning processes
• Deliver projects within the framework of environmental, sustainability, health and safety while maintaining focus on the time, cost, quality and risk management
• Identify early warnings and assist with client team to suggest and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures
• Manage project cost, change management process and check contractor invoices based on work done on site

A snapshot of the role:

• Review and get familiarized with all related project design & contract documentation, contractor submissions, procurement documents and tender packages, shop drawings, RFIs, etc. for new build and/or fit out of Data Centre infrastructure and construction projects
• Organize and attend all relevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings and other project relevant discussions.
• Provide regular reports to the Client, including photos and comments on the site QA/QC process.
• Understand, work with project team to gather, administer and issue contract documentation.
• Verify the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s request for change orders.
• Verify the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s payment request, construction progress, etc.
• Coordinate the review of shop drawings from contractors with consultant\xe2\x80\x99s design documentation.
• Prepare Project Update material for client and contractor meetings.
• Updating the Project Cost Status report monthly.
• Coordinate and follow up all comments from internal stakeholders.
• Review submissions and RFI/RFP from contractors and responses from design team and internal partner team
• Tracking of work status which needs follow up actions.
• Conduct regular site checks on installation method, workmanship and quality assurance process of consultants & contractors for the entire fir out work from out till handover e.g. Early Site Access (ESA), Facilities Ready (FR), Security Ready (SCR)
• Other administrative works as required.

• Must be able to work in a fast-track environment with data centre (or similar critical facilities / environment construction developments) experience preferred
• Strong Project and Programme Management experience
• Excellent and persuasive communication skills
• 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a related field

• Be fluent in written, spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Strong understanding of construction projects cycle, scoping, planning, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning and close out, and handover to operations teams.
• Experience of Managing DC fit-out / or MEP infrastructure projects preferred.
• Project management qualification preferred (PMI / PMP)

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and reporting skills

• Logical approach and high attention to detail
• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services), or equivalent preferred
• Strong in providing and implementing Project Management methodology
