M&E SUPERVISOR (BASED IN JOHOR BAHRU)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled and responsible M&E Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical works at our project site. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in managing day-to-day operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring all M&E installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. You will play a vital role in coordinating with consultants, service providers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution and successful testing and commissioning of all M&E systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise daily mechanical and electrical (M&E) works and ensure proper implementation according to project requirements. Identify potential technical issues, recommend solutions, and lead all M&E testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate and monitor M&E subcontractors' work progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards. Verify that all M&E materials delivered conform to contract specifications prior to installation. Check and review M&E drawings, shop drawings, and construction plans to ensure alignment with design intent and local regulations. Support coordination efforts with consultants, service providers, government bodies, and relevant authorities. Prepare and assist with necessary documentation including site reports, submissions, presentations, and memos. Attend site and consultant meetings as instructed by the superior and provide technical input where required. Ensure all works comply with company quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) policies and procedures. Take proactive measures to prevent pollution and ensure compliance with applicable legal and environmental regulations. Adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machinery, equipment usage, and planning schedules. Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior or Project Manager.

QUALIFICATION

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in M&E supervision within the construction or property development industry. Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, installation standards, and local authority requirements. Knowledge of legal, environmental, safety and health practices in construction site management. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong coordination and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple site activities. Computer literate and familiar with basic project documentation and reporting tools.

Contract length: 12 - 16 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
