Role Purpose
Perform troubleshooting, rectification, inspection, part replacement and modification to all Ground Support Equipment, hangar and workshop equipment and their related components maintained by GSE Department.
Accountabilities
- Plan work activities effectively to ensure that work performed are completed within the desired time, so as to avoid wastage of man-hours.
- Carry out safety precaution prior to starting work to ensure safety to personnel, equipment and environment. Act on reports of any abnormality and highlight to the superior. Ensure good housekeeping.
- Decide and act on requests for necessary spare parts required for replacement. Ensure correct parts and materials are used at all times.
- Check that work performed is to the highest quality standard in accordance with relevant technical manuals and instructions. Maintain good crew discipline and punctuality at all times.
- Carry out inspection on quality of work and clear all defects prior to release.
- Ensure that all completed job cards are updated stating the tasks carried out materials used and man hours involved. Close all outstanding job cards in GSE database.
- Carry out any other related duties as and when delegated by superior from time to time. Attend relevant meetings in the absence of the superior.
- Ensure high standard of quality, safety, security, health and environment at all times.
Qualification & Experience
Diploma/Certificate in Automotive/Mechanical and Electrical with 3 years related experience
SPM or SPVM with MLVK Automotive Certificate (Basic) level with at least 5 years related experience
Skills and Knowledge
Trouble shooting GSE defects
Able to read mechanical & electrical diagrams
Key Challenges
Non availability of Maintenance Management System
Meeting SLA
Increase staff productivity
Improve repair Time
Maintaining ageing equipment
