Job Description
A Mechanical Automation Engineer designs, develops, and implements automated machinery and robotic systems to improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, and productivity. They bridge the gap between mechanical design, electrical control, and software, focusing on creating, testing, and troubleshooting automated systems. Key responsibilities include creating CAD models, programming PLCs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development:
Design mechanical components and automated machinery for production lines using CAD software.System Integration:
Integrate robotics, conveyors, sensors, and actuators into seamless automation workflows.Programming & Control:
Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).Testing & Troubleshooting:
Conduct simulations, testing, and debugging of new automated systems to ensure functionality.Optimization & Maintenance:
Monitor performance and upgrade existing technology to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.Documentation & Safety:
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and ensure all systems meet safety standards.Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), and robotics.Knowledge:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, kinematics, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.Soft Skills:
Analytical troubleshooting, project management, and cross-functional team collaboration.Common Industries
Manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and consumer goods production.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
