Job Description


  • A Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; a Master\'s degree is a plus (but not a prerequisite)
  • 1 - 2 years of industry experience in mechanical engineering; exposure to the RE industry is beneficial. Knowledge in firefighting requirements is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design and basic modelling. Proficiency in PVsyst is a plus (but not a prerequisite)
  • Fundamental comprehension of structural analysis, material selection, and thermal management within solar installations is beneficial
  • Clear communication skills to collaborate within diverse teams and interact with external stakeholders
  • Effective problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, alongside a commitment to safety and quality
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Awareness of applicable codes and industry standards
Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers in mechanical design and engineering tasks for solar and other renewable energy projects, encompassing areas such as solar panel mounting structures, tracking systems, thermal management, firefighting and related equipment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical engineering elements into overall project plans, including considerations such as permitting, environmental impact, and construction activities
  • Assist in generating detailed mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and basic simulations in adherence to applicable codes and standards
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and local stakeholders to facilitate the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals for site development
  • Contribute to engineering analyses, such as stress, thermal, and wind load calculations, to ensure the structural integrity of mechanical systems
  • Support the implementation and commissioning of mechanical systems by collaborating with construction and operations teams
  • Participate in feasibility assessments and provide technical input during the project development phase
  • Join site visits and inspections to evaluate mechanical infrastructure and ensure alignment with design specifications
  • Support projects throughout their complete life cycle, encompassing feasibility assessment, preliminary and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations
